Success Doesn’t Have To Be Complicated - 3 Quick Tips

March 01, 20263 min read

Most people think success is complicated. Hundreds of steps, dozens of books, a million conflicting opinions from a million different experts.

But here’s what I’ve come to believe after years in business: it really does come down to three things. Not two hundred. Three. And if you’re missing even one of them, your chances of succeeding drop dramatically.

“Action is the foundational key to all success.”

Pablo Picasso

Action matters — but it’s not the whole picture. Let me walk you through the three things that actually drive success.

1. Believe in What You Want

You have to believe that what you want to achieve is both possible and worth your time. Not hope for it. Not wish for it. Actually believe it.

If you don’t think the goal is achievable — or if somewhere deep down you feel like you’re wasting your time — stop right now. That doubt will quietly sabotage your momentum before you take a single meaningful step forward.

Belief isn’t blind optimism. It’s a decision. You’re deciding that this is worth it, that you are capable, and that the outcome is real. Without that foundation, everything else crumbles.

Your belief is the spark that starts the engine.

2. Put Action Behind Your Belief

Belief and focused thought account for two thirds of what creates our reality. Action is the final third — and it’s non-negotiable.

You can visualize, affirm, plan, and journal all you want. But until you move, nothing moves with you. I’ve watched too many talented people stay permanently stuck in “planning mode,” convinced they’re making progress when they’re really just staying comfortable.

At some point, you have to go. Imperfect action beats perfect inaction every single time.

Beliefs without action are just wishes.

Beliefs without action are just wishes.

3. Develop Your Self-Discipline

This is the one most people underestimate — and the one that separates those who make it from those who don’t.

Here’s the honest truth: there will be bad days. There will be small failures. There will be obstacles you didn’t see coming. Every person who has ever achieved anything meaningful has faced them.

Self-discipline is what keeps you showing up when motivation fades. It might look like a schedule you refuse to miss, a daily routine you protect fiercely, or simply the habit of reminding yourself every single day what you’re working toward and why you won’t let anything stop you.

Without it, you’ll crumble at the first sign of difficulty. With it, almost nothing can stop you.

Discipline is your most valuable business asset.

The Formula Is Simple

There are no shortcuts, but there is a clear path. It has three steps — and you already know what they are.

01 Believe it

02 Do the work

03 Stay disciplined

Think about every goal you’ve ever achieved. Every single one had hurdles. Every one required you to keep going when part of you wanted to stop. That’s not a bug — that’s the process. Strengthen your resolve and see the task done.

Success doesn’t have to be complicated. But it does require these three things. Every time.
